Duties and Responsibilities:
An ambulance dispatcher answers emergency calls and take information from the caller and send the appropriate type and number of units. To be an ambulance dispatcher you have to be logical, efficient, orderly and organized. Their duties include:
- Decides which emergency service they need, for example, ambulance, police, firefighters, etc.
- Monitors and tracks the status of an ambulance on assignment
- Coordinates sending emergency personnel
